Read Me File for "Turbo Mouse ADB 6.0.5 fix" version 1.0
June 1, 1990
Dear Turbo Mouse ADB User:
The accompanying file "Turbo Mouse ADB 6.0.5 fix" is an INIT (a special file that runs when the Macintosh starts up) which fixes problems between the Apple Desktop Bus (ADB) manager in System 6.0.5 and Kensington's Turbo Mouse ADB.
WHAT IS THE PROBLEM
As a result of changes in the ADB manager in System 6.0.5, the Turbo Mouse is not recognized by some Macs. The problem only occurs on some systems with certain combinations of Apple's mice and keyboards.
This INIT solves the problem.
WHO NEEDS THIS FILE?
All Turbo Mouse users running System 6.0.5 on a Mac SE, SE/30, II, IIx, or IIcx computer should use this INIT (the IIci and IIfx do not have the ADB problem, but the INIT will not have any ill effects on these machines).
DO NOT USE this INIT on a non-ADB Macintosh (Mac 128, Mac 512, and Mac Plus).
INSTRUCTIONS
Place the "Turbo Mouse ADB 6.0.5 fix" file in your system folder and restart your Mac.
WE ARE SORRY
We are sorry for any inconvenience that this problem has caused you. We worked closely with Apple to avoid problems like we encountered with System 6.0.5 and have been assured that all future systems will not have this interaction with the Turbo Mouse (System 7.0, etc.).
THANKS
Many thanks to Apple's Cameron Birse and Apple Engineering for solving this problem for us. Thank you for being patient with us.
